More room make overs in progress

So we decided to redo our guest room.  Eventually it will be all white with this yellow dresser and a blue quilt on the bed.  Simple and pretty is the plan!

Almost 25 years ago we bought this old dresser from an antique dealer but it has developed a funny odor so we stopped using it.  It has the key still and all the drawers lock!! Love that!

I have bleached, vinegar-ed, set out in the sun and just simply cleaned it thoroughly to no avail.  Finally I painted it with kilz and it seemed to do the job.  So now it been repainted with my new favorite color - deep yellow.  Yes, the same as the kitchen hutch you can see a few posts down.  (Of course I am thinking about redoing my kitchen cabinets in a different color....)

I should have done a before and after of the dresser, but I did not as usual!  The insides of the drawers are blue.

Super easy and super cute project.....

I made this today, very quick and very easy.  I just love it!  It is pretty small, but great for quick trips out to the store.  You can easily throw in your cash, c.c., phone and keys.

Quilting Class Block # 5.......

Not my favorite block compared to others we have done, but I think it came out cute.

Another room make-over.....

My sewing room is getting yet another make-over.  Taking out a piece and adding a piece.  Oh well, this is what happens when you live in a small house.  At least it gives me an excuse to take a break from sewing bottle covers and do some clean up and reorganizing.

This past week I have sold 11 bottles to two different buyers - very exciting!!

I have had this small medicine cabinet just collecting dust, so I took off the mirror door (to be hung in the guest room) and used it to store my finished bottles.  I think it looks cute and they won't be falling off the shelf anymore!
