Wow - easy block........

Of course I have to have at least one mistake.  The center block was supposed to be cut into a 3 1/2 square and I cut it 3 inches.   So, I sewed it back together and recut it. Now it kind of matches because it looks a bit like a mini log cabin block.

The black and white print was my choice - they gave us an off-white with tiny yellow flowers print that looked too much like bed sheets or nightgown material for me.  I picked out the black and white to contrast against the amber, blue & red.  My husband says the print is too big, oh well!  More character I guess....

Reusable, Customizable Canister Labels for......

jars you would normally just toss in the garbage or recycling bin!

This was my DIL 's idea as I had never heard of chalkboard fabric before she told me about it.  So I whipped one up today and put it on Etsy and it is getting a good response.

You can erase so it can be used over and over again for all different types of storage, food, small craft items, small toys etc.  It has velcro on the back so its easy on & off too!

I LOVE the tote bag.........

I will definately make another one!  It was easy, a bit tedious but I took lots of breaks. The hardest part was the lining.  Mine is a bit messy.... but for a first time bag maker and first time using selveges I am thrilled!!

Starting my first selvege project.....

I am going to be making a tote bag to carry my Bible, notebook etc.  Looking forward to seeing how it comes out.
Each block is made by top stitching each selvege edge to a 6 1/2 inch muslin block.  Easy and fun!!

My son and daughter in law's 5th wedding anniversary gift......

Its a lap-sized one, smallish at 38" square, but so quick and easy to piece together!  Took far longer to do the actual quilting of it.

The bottles are selling......

WOW - my quilted bottles are selling pretty well on Etsy.  I am so excited!!

Block # 3.....

It was a tough one!  Not perfect by any means, but still looks pretty good I think.
Going to be interesting to see what the finished quilt ends up looking like.
