Ehlers Danlos Update......

I posted a while back about EDS and how it has affected me.  As of today, March 28, 2016, things have gotten worse.

Next week I go into surgery to have my knee replacement....well...replaced!  After a short 5 years it has come loose.  I need to have it removed, then they will drill much further into both bones and put in revision hardware. This is quite scary as there is no going back if this does not take.

My hands have gotten much worse, a lot of pain, lose of strength, fingers are bending back etc.

The smallest thing, like lifting a jar or milk carton can cause pain in my wrists that last for minutes to hours.

I have a stress fracture on the top of my right foot.  I was just standing still and heard a pop/crack and felt pain...then in a few minutes the pain went away.  A couple of weeks later after having a bone scan the dr found it.

Shoulders are starting to affect me also.  Lots of pain on laying down and trying to sleep.

Anyway, there is so much more but that is enough for now.

Bonnies Boxes of Love - Cancer Patients......

A local group in our town makes boxes of goodies for people undergoing cancer treatments.  I contribute these....Hershey Cocoa containers, covered with lightly quilted fabric..they fill them with hard candy, gum, other little fun things.  A really nice program!!

This is a picture of the last 3 I did..

Here are ones from a while back:

Another "Just in Case" Baby Quilt.....

This is the Circus Quilt.  Hard to tell by the pics but the quilting was done in bright neon green thread.  So colorful....36 x 36

Since about this time last year my health starting quickly going down hill.  My hands now will hurt when I am sewing.  Since EDS is progressive there will probably come a time I can no longer sew.  My goal is to get some baby quilts done in case either of my sons & dils have children.  In my mind there is nothing better than a homemade quilt from a parent or grandparent!
